I don’t like the nature of this action being fueled by apparent spite but maybe that’s part of a genius marketing campaign that I don’t understand?
I do agree with the making this protocol decentralized and community supported/controlled.
Others likely feel the same but don’t want to have to pick sides or be part of a schism.
If you want to build a strong community, drop the spite. If you start a community this way you’ll drive a wedge and struggle with onboarding people to your vision.
I do believe you’ll be able to do something wonderful. But do it because you believe in something different, period.
It appears a lot of people have great respect for you and your technical abilities. Probably try to keep it that way.
