St. Jerome started it. The round sugar cookies represent the Eucharist/Communion along with the red and green bulbs to depict the fruits of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden. The star on top reminds us of the star that the three magi followed. The Christmas Tree is deeply symbolic. Hope this is helpful 😊
