Between charcoal and listening... Where the world seems interrupted, the landscape is no longer a setting. It is a body. A body that feels, that breathes, that carries the weight of history and the breath of what may yet come. Where the image ceases to be a record and becomes a gesture, a rite of mourning and reconciliation, an attempt to return to looking, to the ability to listen. Seeing is an act of involvement. It is assuming one's own participation in the catastrophe, considering that the fire that burns the ground also passes through us. We share the same wound. We are part of the same ash. Disaster is no longer something distant, it is a common matter. The work inhabits the interval between what collapses and what rises again. It does not speak of the end of the world, but of the fold of time where life, silently, reorganizes itself. Because the earth, even in ruins, continues to speak. And listening is perhaps the first act of beginning again.
