Watching the French Open this weekend got me thinking about the World Cup.
The best players in the world still lose to conditions. Altitude slows everyone down. Heat breaks concentration in the third set.
Now imagine that but across 16 stadiums, 3 countries, and a continent-wide travel map.
Mexico City at 7,350 ft. Miami’s heat AND humidity. Vancouver to Miami in the knockout rounds. Kansas City’s crowd noise.
The teams that win won’t just be the most talented. They’ll be the best prepared for what each venue throws at them.
