Microsoft and BlackRock have joined forces to establish an investment group aimed at raising up to $100 billion for artificial intelligence. These companies, along with other partners, intend to generate funds to enhance data centers and energy infrastructure that support AI development. According to an official statement, “an investment of $100 billion will strengthen the United States' position in the AI sector and help meet the growing demand for energy resources necessary for economic advancement.” In addition to BlackRock and Microsoft, the new Global Partnership for AI Infrastructure Investment (GAIIP) includes investors such as Global Infrastructure Partners and MGX. NVIDIA will provide support by sharing its expertise in data centers and AI manufacturing capabilities. In its initial phase, GAIIP aims to secure 30billioninprivatecapitalfromvariousinvestorsandcompanies.Thiswillenablethemobilizationofupto100 billion in total investment potential, including debt financing.
