Hey folks — let me yap a bit about Base App, because it’s kind of wild what Coinbase is trying to do.
Have you heard? Base App is their bet on a super-app: social media + payments + trading + messaging, all in one place — blockchain style.
Imagine posting something, and people can tip you in crypto instantly. Or sending money across borders with no fees (or minimal). Or chatting and trading without switching apps. That’s the vision.
Some things I like:
It gives a one-stop experience — no need to hop between ten apps.
The “creator economy” angle is interesting: you can monetize content right away.
It leans into Web3 / crypto identity: your blockchain address becomes your identity across apps.
But of course, there are questions:
Will people accept a crypto super-app, or is it too niche?
Regulatory risks are always lurking in the background.
How easy is it for non-crypto users to onboard?
Anyway, that’s my yap on Base App. It’s bold, ambitious, and maybe a bit risky — but super interesting
