Friday I came home from work. Since then I've been prepping to cook today. Cut over 100lbs of meat. Equal amounts of onions. 50 lbs of carrots. So gald to have a break. Came to work to just have a normal workflow haha, partially jk Tomorrow is my Slava. It's my favorite day of the year. A tradition that has been assigned to my family around 1000AD. Every year Jan 20 we get together and eat, drink, be merry. We start prepping for in October by putting the cabbage to ferment, then smoke some pork loins and ribs in a smoker with some hardwood ( i like cherry wood ) My moms and wife start baking cookies right after the new year. Truly a feast, but ngl im so busy that day i eat in fast and in hiding. I'll do my best to share some pics. Things move so fast I don't ever think of pull the phone out. Leaving work rn to head over the liquor store to buy some commodity booze and some special picks for the guests I know to pick their poison with verve. If you know a serb you may have been to one.
