The "I Was Close Enough" Mistake
What I did: Held 2.8 tokens when the requirement was "minimum 3." The breakdown:
Saw the announcement tweet while commuting
Glanced at the requirements: "hold tokens before snapshot"
Checked my balance, saw "2.8" and rounded up in my head to "basically 3"
Never set a calendar reminder for the snapshot date
The snapshot happened while I slept. My 2.8 tokens qualified me for nothing
Root cause: I treated eligibility as a suggestion, not a binary gate.
