In the movie Top Gun: Maverick (2022), there's an interesting fact about the actors' flight training. In order to make the scenes more realistic, many of the actors, including Tom Cruise, underwent pilot training and even flew in real fighter jets. This allowed them to better understand what it was like to be in the cockpit of a fighter jet, as well as convey to the audience more authentic emotions and feelings during the flights. Tom Cruise was particularly inspired by the desire to create the most realistic scenes possible, which was one of the reasons for his involvement in the project.
