Attacker used stolen rsETH as collateral on Aave V3, borrowed WETH and vanished. Aave is sitting on bad debt it can’t liquidate. 9 protocols paused. AAVE -13%.
This isn’t a single protocol bug - it’s a composability risk. LSTs are accepted everywhere as “basically ETH”. When that assumption breaks, the whole stack goes down together.
DeFi gives opportunities you won’t find anywhere else. But if you don’t understand what you’re holding and why - risk is managing you, not the other way around.
