The ring is cool, some downsides to consider: - its not great if you use weights at the gym - they now charge for their service monthly, used to be free - I had an older oura that lasted 4 days, they updated the firmware and battery went to less than 24hrs. I have a sneaky suspicion they force their older models to become irrelevant sooner than purchasers would like.

i’ve had my oura ring for over a year and i like it! i mainly use it to track sleep, stress, and my cycle and as far as i can tell it does a good job also very low profile and not annoying to wear for someone who doesn’t like wearing jewelry

Assistant #1 has one and likes it! Has considered switching to the ultrahuman bc there isn’t a subscription but hasn’t yet. @treegirl has an Oura and @erica has an ultrahuman!

I have the 2nd Gen. I think it’s great (but dislike the new subscription model, so no plans to upgrade). Also have outgrown the need for it, I just listen to my body for readiness/sleep. IMHO only useful if you’re actively experimenting with food/lifestyle choices and quantifying their impact on sleep.

they didn’t have the brushed silver one in stock when i bought mine, that one looks more like a ring and less immediately like a fitness wearable. happy w it overall, i kinda forget im wearing it after a while which is nice bc not over indexing on stat tracking
