When the Bible promises long life, the Hebrew phrase it uses is “long days” ( eg exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 6:2, 5:16, 22:7). “Noah” is a person but also means “ease,” and therefore perhaps the story of Noah is on a deeper level a story about how the trait of ease goes through life. We are told that it is charming and attractive (Genesis 6:8) and that it builds a window, aka it lets people see it and it sees people (6:16). #chill #grace #char
