check out what Mitch Daniels did with the BMV in Indiana. i always tell my liberal friends that we'd have Medicare For All tomorrow if the average citizen experience of government were like going to the BMV. so far i don't think one has appreciated the point I'm trying to make.
also i believe free banking has a history of success in other countries. my understanding was that in the US, banks were forced to hold a lot of bad paper by state legislators. by contrast, digital dollars on a public ledger would likely be much more transparent in terms of their backing.
i believe peter zeihan was kinda talking about this for a while. or at least the detaching US/UK side of things
