Base created an entirely new class of apps that only make sense when fees are almost zero.
On Base, developers build things like:
on-chain likes and reactions
pay-per-message chats
per-second streaming payments
micro-bounties worth a few cents
games where every move is on-chain
These ideas were impractical on Ethereum mainnet.
Base made them viable — and that’s pushing developers to rethink what a blockchain app even is.
In other words:
Base isn’t just scaling old ideas — it’s enabling completely new ones.
