The Era of "Flashblocks" Base recently introduced a technology called Flashblocks. While standard Ethereum blocks take about 12 seconds and most Layer 2s take 1-2 seconds, Base has cut this down to just 200 milliseconds (0.2 seconds!). This is 10 times faster than before. /base
