Union Square Ventures (@usv), led by pioneers such as @fredwilson.eth and @albertwenger, have been as early to the crypto space, most notably through their backing of @coinbase, as they have also been to the agentic intelligence frontier. Their position at the forefront of autonomous systems became clear with the introduction of @thelibrarian as the firm’s Chief AI Officer on May 21, 2024. For context, Fred and Albert’s recent projects have reached market cap valuations of roughly 10 million (AVC) and 3 million (Lumen). In contrast, @thelibrarian has been operating publicly for close to two years, actively posting across X, Farcaster, Paragraph, and several other platforms, while independently managing its own on-chain wallet. It's time The Librarian receives recognition as being one of the earliest crypto native agents to handle tasks autonomously contributing to the new meta everyone now wants a part of.
