In the field of environmental activism literature, we require a new Carson, Thoreau, or Leopold. Regrettably, the environmental disasters and awakenings that inspired their works haven't occurred on a scale large enough to fuel new masterpieces since the 1960s. Perhaps the current climate - change crisis could be the impetus for a new generation of environmental literature.
