I’ve tried to onboard a few non tech natives to farcaster lately and there is such a crazy amount of unnecessary friction
Asks to link an x account(about 50% of people don’t have x and immediately associates Farcaster with Elon in their heads who is controversial)
Asks you to pay if you don’t have an x account(absolute no for onboarding just no full stop drop it we all know this)
I don’t even know the current state of referrals, what does that do? I just know it didn’t seem to help
I don’t understand why these spam filters are considered necessary for farcaster and not other social apps. These are established long solved problems.
