The Tortoise Token, $TORT, is deprecated.
On October 19th at 12 pm CST, two weeks after this announcement, I will sell all of Tortoise's $TORT holdings, approximately 12% of the total supply.
Tortoise the app has no plans to shut down.
Since the March 2025 launch, $TORT saw:
- Approximately 988 ETH in trading volume, worth $2.44 million at historical prices.
- 4,070 wallets that held more than 0.001 ETH worth at some point, with 189 currently above that threshold.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me by engaging with the token. Whether your goal was support, pro app features, or profit, you believed in me, and I do not take that lightly. I have done my best to prove you right and I will continue to do so.
This is a necessary step for the future of Tortoise.
