I’ve been thinking about this seemingly universal assumption that we are better able to remember the past than predict the future I think the issue here is language. The term remember implies something known while the term predict implies something unknown, but both of these abilities are obviously imperfect, and I don’t see any particular reason that one would be significantly more accurate than the other Personally, I think I’m better able to remember the future than predict the past
