yeah, anytime a dentist tells you to pull a tooth, get a second opinion from an endodentist who specializes in root canals, ideally microscopic. they can often save teeth and avoid unnecessary implants.
same thing with many dental procedures, go find a specialist in that particular niche of treatment e.g. wisdom teeth or whatever.
