the bar is actually very low for a lot of these basic use cases. and of course these are more obviously needed outside NA or EU but even within, giving users more sovereignty and control over their assets is extremely valuable.

One of the worst parts of working in a bank was telling people we wouldn't open an account for them. Even though they had the right (we knew that and they didn't). I would have gotten into serious trouble if I had opened an account. One of my bigger regrets is that I didn't just do it.
