you may not personally be interested in trading or markets more broadly but it is a valid (and popular) form of content nonetheless

the “trading is ruining farcaster” take also seems very popular with those who don’t have the skill, time, and/or interest in making money via trading. this is fine, of course, but doesn’t mean that the rest of the world is indifferent to magic internet money.

I don’t really care for it myself but as I’ve been in crypto since ‘17 I’ve become used to it being amongst the worlds. As long as I still see my gurlie content and friends they can do whatever heh

Its just a reminder how small our little corner is still. That the popular content you don’t happen to want to see can’t be escaped

My take on this is anyone who detests crypto to begin with wouldn’t try Farcaster even before all of this, given just the word cryptocurrency or NFT appearing. I think it’s a great move to secure the market that already exists and is willing to give FC a try.
