the EU partnership is somewhat predictable, I guess. many canadians are spiritually european and think of it as paradise, despite any evidence to the contrary.
and while I don’t mind fewer visa restrictions, it does feel like prospects are so bleak for canadians <50 that the gov wants to ensure you can vacation and live elsewhere with ease. this is a easier than making some unpopular choices to fix things at home.
