I don’t really think companies like google, openAI, or anthropic can be easily lumped into the “scammer” category, and that’s the majority of what’s actually important right now.
but there will be certainly many dumb saas and other products launched that fall into that category, yes.
that said, there is an enormous valley between reasonable suspicion of new things and blind categorical hatred based on groupthink.
