this track Lomsha from the french Hadouk Trio is really quite special. earthy and sultry world jazz that brings together middle-eastern modal melodies and north african gnawa grooves.
throughout the album the double reed armenian duduk—played by Didier Malherbe—features heavily which takes the place of the soprano saxophone in more traditional jazz ensemble instrumentation.
