I went for a run through Vancouver with a friend this morning. We ran at a much slower pace than I am used to, but it was nice to catch up while also seeing the city.

Chat, do we count it for the weekly 5K?

I couldn’t settle for a jog with friends. Instead I decided to run some intervals with the 5K and set a new local low! 💪🏼

Yeah, I'm sure 7:30 feels like a relaxing holiday after the straight up sprint of a 6 minute pace. 

So you're not starting off slow and getting faster and faster....? You're basically sprinting and 'resting' and sprinting again?

I was alternating between 6 min pace and 7:30 pace, which was taking my heart rate to 165 then down to 130. It’s amazing how much easier the 7:30 felt after coming down to it, rather than starting there.

There is nothing more powerful in this world than words.

Surprisingly, it never truly felt like a sprint. It was one of those rare days where I just felt like I had “it”.
