Here's an interesting thing I read recently about ants 🐜:

"Ants use a complex system of communication that relies largely on **pheromones** (chemicals). They secrete pheromones to mark food or danger routes, and other ants detect these signals with chemical sensors on their antennae. They also use physical contact (such as touching antennae) and sometimes weak vocalizations to coordinate colony activities, such as defense or food gathering."
