Excited to be teaching my case study at @harvardhbs on making the art market more transparent. Transparency—especially around prices in galleries and auctions—is key to solving the industry’s four biggest challenges: fraud, a lack of buyers, high transaction costs, and illiquid assets. AI can play a transformative role in navigating the market, curating opportunities, and connecting buyers with artists more efficiently. NFTs and blockchain can further increase liquidity by reducing friction in transactions. I envision an art market three times bigger, driven by new buyers and smarter tools. Working with the next generation of buyers from @harvard is invaluable in shaping ideas on how to build a more transparent and accessible market.
