Does going to bed mean
A) going to sleep 
B) getting in bed

Ex-VC. I like making bread (literally and figuratively) 

“I’m going to bed” = going to sleep
“Let’s go to bed” = get in bed

getting in bed, it marks the start of the transition to sleep

if one can decide a precise time they "go to bed" then it must be B) as you cannot control the exact time you fall asleep though i would specify that in addition to having gotten in bed, the lights are out and eyes are closed
