Last cycle people were excited by who was the creator of the coin. I remember coins going bananas just because they were rioshi coins or it was thought that some shiba devs were behind Now, you have @unicornmeat which was created by Avsa while working for Ethereum Foundation at the absolute bottom. It wont be there for long though
