I have noticed my son watching a lot of these youtube cooking videos of young influencers, so I asked him if he wanted to try one of those recipes himself, since he mentioned he loved cooking so much 😄. 

What these engaging quick cut videos don’t tell is the work that goes into creating something ~ the prep, the cooking and the clean-up. 

I picked a classic tomato soup + grilled cheese and got him started on halving the veggies and dressing them for roasting. 

He proceeded in adding the toasted goodies to the mixer, added canned Marzano tomatoes, some Chevrier and decorated with fresh basil and rosemary from our garden.

The grilled cheese was quick and easy as well, but once we devoured everything he was nowhere to be found for the clean-up.😝

It had a deep, rich flavor. I never roasted vegetables for a soup before and this is something I am going to be doing more often for cold soups this summer!

That's a really fun story 😄. In your son's defense, I too would have run away before I had to clear the table and do the dishes 😂😂😂😂.
