Underrated life skill:
Knowing when someone's advice is about them, not you. Your divorced friend warning you about marriage. Your broke uncle's investment tips. Your unhappy parent's career guidance. They're not giving advice. They're confessing regrets.
Once you recognize projection, you stop taking direction from people who are lost. Listen for wisdom, not wounds. Most advice is just someone else's therapy session.
