Last night, I began analyzing the Farcaster Pro data (basescan API + Neynar to retrieve user information using the wallet address). Found some interesting insights. I will write about a few, and attach the GitHub repos for anyone who wants to analyze them further. This is the data for the first 24h.

1195 users with 0 followers, 1289 with 1-10, and 125 with no valid acct(?). Using neynar v2/farcaster/user/bulk-by-address Transactions plateaued after the 10K number hit. Expected, I guess.

Neynar score distribution for all pro users. Median 0.5, majority in the medium range. Pro != high_quality_users I'd assume. Dunno how the metric is computed. (cc @rish )

Next is follower counts. Folks with <= 10 followers are about 1/4th of the subscription. I manually went to their FC profiles (random 10 of them) to make sure it's not a bug in the code.

FID vs. score also looked interesting (note: this data is only available for Pro subscribers).

And this was for unknown users. Spiked around 1615 PST. I dont know how this works, am a crypto noob. Is it possible that a bunch of addresses just did the token transaction so that they will get the NFT airdropped? Or a bug with the API? I only tried retrieving info once. @neynar

Link for anyone who want to explore further. Make sure to keep the transaction json file in parent directory, the basescan api only returns last 10k transactions. Reply/DC if you find any bug - I tried to verify the data manually as much as I can. Link:

very important. you're like 90% of the way there but i think porting all the data into a filterable google sheet that people can easily download for future airdrops would be huge

I have it on GitHub as a csv (raw.githubusercontent.com/manimohans/f...), but some pointers: - this csv has around ~11.8K subscribers (first 48 hours, not 24h, use an older commit for 24h) - the number of followers for folks @ 48h will be different from 24h. A few 0s moved to 1-10s and so on. I think the neynar scores change weekly so thats probably ok - unless they update scores on a Thursday. Hope this helps.

could be that 0 follower accounts are hoping to grow by getting the Pro subscription. reflects how the pay-to-win mindset is baked into our SM realities/expectations at this point.

I find that scenario to be highly unlikely Unless you mean the bot owner is trying to get their alts more followers Then maybe I'm sure @geoffgolberg will run some analysis I don't understand to draw some conclusions I don't understand but agree with at some point :)

Interesting data will be leaked! I took a quick look yesterday and noticed that even newly registered users got badges!!! :))

Interesting info! I use farcaster every day but don't get a lot of traction here - mostly I'm using the apps that I find fun like farcade. I'm curious how many of the low neynar score buyers are active within some of these Mini Apps like myself

What I’ve learned about myself from looking at this data is that I have a high neynar score (~.77) relative to other accounts in my account creation category (above 1 mil) at least in the proaccount data set. This is so fun to look at and study. Thanks for sharing!
