Throughout history, soldiers have covered their faces on the battlefield for various reasons. Sometimes these masks were for physical protection against sword and arrow strikes and sometimes to create terror in the hearts of the enemy. But in some of these masks, there was a story deeper than war and violence: the story of anonymity.
