Daily active users on Optimism, Arbitrum, and Base have consistently climbed, even as gas fees on the mainnet remain relatively high. This dynamic suggests that Ethereum is successfully becoming the settlement layer, while execution shifts elsewhere. The key question is whether developers can continue building applications that attract real users, not just temporary speculation.
