Cont'd... -The Real Origin: Contrary to the myth of Kisra from Persia, scholars believe the Wassangari were Wangara Sudanic warriors who fabricated the Kisra legend to legitimize their rule. The prevailing theory links their arrival (c. 1480–1492 AD) to the massive exodus from the Songhay Empire following Askia Mohammed’s ascension to the throne in 1493 AD. They may even be related to the Barga royal house that fled Songhay! They demonstrated exceptional cunning by seizing political power from the "owners of the land" without resorting to bloodshed, epitomizing the concept of immigrant perseverance. Essentially, these "strangers" integrated into the community through marriage, adopted local customs, and subsequently took control of the government, showcasing exceptional prowess in political maneuvering!
