Mike Kittredge, the genius who created Yankee Candle at the age of 16

Mike Kittredge managed to establish a company at the age of 16 and launch a business that later became one of the most famous brands. When Kittredge was 16 years old, he started his business. In fact, in 1969, Kittredge started his business by selling $ 2 candles to neighbors. The demand for this product continued to increase, so Kittredge turned candlemaking into his side job and started making candles in his garage.

He eventually sold his company for $ 500 million. The company that Kittredge founded as a teenager now has 500 stores and 19,000 retailers that sell Yankee Candle products. In July 2019, Kittredge died at the age of 67.
