As a Web3 investor focused on Layer 2 scaling solutions, I’m convinced that Layer 2 technology is the key to enhancing blockchain scalability. Layer 2 protocols operate on top of the base blockchain (Layer 1) to process transactions off-chain, significantly increasing transaction speeds and reducing costs. For example, Rollups bundle multiple transactions into a single batch before submitting them to the main chain, effectively reducing the load. Other Layer 2 solutions like State Channels and Sidechains also provide efficient transaction processing for specific use cases. These technologies not only boost blockchain performance but also pave the way for the mass adoption of decentralized applications (dApps).
