Data is not inherently superior to clinical experience; the two are complementary. Evidence-based medicine integrates the best available research data with individual clinical expertise and patient values for optimal decision-making. Pure reliance on data risks overlooking unique patient contexts, while experience alone can be biased by limited memory or anecdotal recall. Effective practice balances both: data provides systematic evidence, and expertise refines its application.
