One reason prediction markets are fundamentally different from trading is that users feel entirely responsible whether they win or lose. None of this “my thesis was correct but the market was irrational” stuff. There’s the occasional dispute over how a market is resolved but for the most part the outcomes are binary. You either predicted it correctly or you didn’t.
