that's a good question, cause idk if discrete versioning can show that certain components expire into commodification. tbqh, I think that a cryptoeconomic policy would determine the shops to be more or less up to specification (random low-volume "secret shopper" sampling for "Proof of Widget") and they should be able to deal with private and public equity for high-volume, so there's an incentive to displace that margin of them without displacing them from treading water on the common stuff.
