I think the mandate that the engineering remain in a known panopticon's control is a worthwhile dealbreaker. they could change the sysops, however nontrivial/sclerotic that is. people should be jailbreaking their devices anyway, and we shouldn't just be normalizing mobile appstore duopoly. between these challenges, it seems prudent to fork tiktok & enforce divestment.
