what many miss about free wealth is that it does not get monetized by rent.
we already litigated this with the NFT royalty debate, which settled on a reserve vs cap model rather than overriding Ethereum's permissionless architecture (cause that obviously devalues ETH).
same will reoccur with whichever "metaverse" exists between agent-playable characters. different world-hosting schemes will issue fitness functions for agentic behavior to sustain itself longterm, the most viable of these schemes will align to a shared native rollup as indicated in the blob fee market, and whale game theory will capitalize whichever schemes can afford the most coherent fidelity and route the most compelling advertisement for free Thucydidean subjects to suffer what they must
still, it's worth skeptically inquiring why whales will show up and pay the premium, but I don't doubt that media is the message, and immutable ledgers are host to provenance of vicarious grandeur.
