Today is the echo of an ancient portal.
The festival of Halloween traces back to the Celtic celebration of Samhain, when the harvest ended, winter beckoned, and the veil between worlds grew thin. People lit sacred fires, wore disguises, and welcomed what some would call ghosts, others would call ancestors.
This night still holds its magic, still asks us to remember, protect, heal.
