I didn’t expect Farcaster to make me reflect so much on ownership. But it did. We rent almost everything online—accounts, followers, data, influence. Platforms hold the keys, and we comply. Farcaster feels like refusing to rent and finally buying the house. Even if the app changes, my address is still mine. That shift in mindset—digital ownership instead of digital tenancy—has quietly changed how I see the internet.
