the chinese can take more pain than the US. that's just a fact. not just economically, but mentally, culturally, spiritually. you’ve also got people alive today in CN who remember what actual starvation looks like. dirt floors. famine. no shoes. that was just a generation ago. china won’t cave easily. their system doesn’t depend on good vibes and quarterly approval ratings. the ccp is viewed more like a steward of the nation than a political party. it has the mandate until it clearly doesn’t. and that bar is high. meanwhile in the US, trump tanks the economy with this tariff war, and what happens? maybe republicans lose big, maybe he gets defanged in midterms, but until then, he’s dragging the country through economic suicide with one broken policy at a time.
