Todayโ€™s lunch is a very traditional here in Japan: Grilled Atka Mackerel Usually we eat as breakfast but when I feel the need of some good fats I eat them for lunch. During my first years in Japan was difficult to eat this daily but now Iโ€™m sad when I canโ€™t eat any. Human get used to everything ๐Ÿ˜‰

I could not imagine eating it for breakfast but I would be pleasantly willing to try. Especially if it looks as well cooked as this. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Yummy. You may know this but, the film "The Wind Rises" portrays Jiro Horikoshi, the designer of the war planes Mitsubishi A5M and A6M Zero (Zero), as being inspired by the shape and structure of mackerel bones in his aircraft design. :)
