Omg I can’t describe the taste honestly, we have in Italy but it’s originally from Japan. I think if you search you’ll find in NY but I can’t imagine how expensive they could be 😅 btw you can eat them as soon as they become orange so probably they are close to a pear 🍐 but if you let them mature they become sweeter and soft, like an apple pie 😂 Hope I gave you an idea 😅
