Heading into *Doom: The Dark Ages*, I was excited as it serves as a prequel to the 2016 series reboot, which feels like a solid starting point. Despite enjoying first-person shooters, I haven't checked out *Doom* or its 2020 sequel, *Doom Eternal*. However, I'll always defend the 2005 film—it’s so bad it's good!
